Job Description:
OverviewThis individual will be responsible for the leadership
of the New Technologies Engineering group consisting of Lithium
Battery development, Battery Charger development (including Power
Management development) and Software development. They will be
responsible for delivery of solutions for a wide range of energy
storage and energy management needs including Motive Power, Battery
Energy Storage Systems, Network Power and Transportation
applications. They will also be required to continuously develop
the Engineering teams within their organization to effectively and
efficiently meet any development needs in these markets including
refining Engineering structure and institution of Product
development and delivery processes. Finally, they will be required
to report out higher level leadership teams on progress in their
area of responsibility.Responsibilities
- Drives delivery of new products in line with business needs and
the strategic business plan.
- Drives delivery of Engineering designs for Engineer to Order
customer solutions.
- Responsible for departmental budget planning and execution of
spending to budget to achieve business needs.
- Collaborate with the Product Management team to help define new
product opportunities and evaluate market required products for
feasibility and cost.
- Effectively communicate to higher level leadership team on
status of projects and product developments.
- Develop, Deploy and Manage Standardized design processes
- Conduct post-mortem analysis of closed projects and adopt best
practices and lessons learned.
- Lead and monitor resolution efforts on complex issues where
analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of
variable factors.
- Develop relationships with local plant teams, functional
leaders, VPs, etc. to ensure smooth progression of projects and
initiatives.
- Previous experience in developing and launching products to the
market is required. QualificationsEducation, Experience,
Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical related field required;
Electrical Engineering degree preferred
- MBA in related field preferred
- 15+ years of previous Product Development, Engineering
Leadership and Project Management experience is required.
- Previous cross-functional experience in Manufacturing and
Engineering preferred.Competencies, Skills, Knowledge

Visio, and Excel.
- Knowledge of project management tools and Methodologies,
especially waterfall methodology.Environment & Physical Demands
- This position is based in our Alpharetta, GA office.
- This role requires travel to various sites, which may involve
driving or flying.
- Visits to the manufacturing floor are required as needed. This
involves standing and walking for extended periods, navigating
around machinery and equipment, and occasionally bending, stooping,
or crouching to inspect work areas.
- Must wear appropriate PPE when on the manufacturing floor,
which may include safety glasses, hard hats, ear protection, and
steel-toed boots, etc.Travel
