The Role
The Microsoft 365 Engineer technical role with experience in
multiple technologies for the delivery of Microsoft 365 Cloud
services utilized by end users for productivity and communications.
The Microsoft 365 engineer t provides expertise within IT and
across the business supporting solutions that enhance productivity
with a focus on building flexible, scalable, and secure solutions
in Microsoft 365. The Microsoft 365 engineer has a knowledge of the
entire Microsoft 365 application stack, and how to best leverage
and integrate those applications in the enterprise environment.
These solutions should enable identity and access management,
productivity, data access, mobility management and increase the
organization's ability to collaborate across teams, departments,
and geographic regions. The Microsoft 365 engineer also provides
technical leadership and escalation for resolving incidents,
fulfilling work requests, and completing project deliverables.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and administer the organization-wide deployment
of Microsoft 365 enterprise platform (Productivity via Office
Applications, Enterprise Collaboration via Teams, OneDrive, and
SharePoint, Email and Calendaring via Exchange Online, Enterprise
Mobility Management via Intune, Automation via Power Platform,
Microsoft Entra ID, etc.).
- Identifies new areas and business processes where Microsoft 365
Solutions such as Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, Intune,
SharePoint and others can be leveraged for increased business value
and facilitates continual process improvement.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of technology
roadmaps.
- Management of Windows-based corporate systems and personal
mobile devices via Microsoft Intune
- Management of Microsoft Autopilot to set up and pre-configure
new devices, getting them ready for productive use.
- Manage the on prem and cloud infrastructure related to
Microsoft 365 and learn to manage Active Directory.
- Configure and monitor cloud infrastructure in Azure (including
Intune, Autopilot, Azure Virtual Desktop, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair complex technical problems with team
members, customers, and vendors quickly and effectively.
- Work with the IT Security Team to design and build a secure
operating system and data access environment.
- Provide thorough testing as part of proof-of-concept
development for new technologies.
- Participates in initiatives to evolve technologies and drive
continuous improvement of services.
- Acts as escalation point for complex issues related to areas of
expertise.
- Collaborates with all areas of IT to design and implement
solutions.
- Participates in support, recovery, maintenance, and project
activities outside normal business hours as needed.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of standard
operating procedures.
- Stay abreast of trends in technologies, policies, procedures,
and other external changes that could have an impact on IT
services.
- Provide executive support to Senior Leadership Team.
- Work closely with the main office local IT team to support end
users on site. Additionally support the desktop team on desktop
related issues, SCCM, Microsoft 365 Apps, and other windows related
support.
- Need to get certified every year related to Microsoft 365.
- This position requires up to 10% travel
- This position is hybrid, combining remote and in-office work
with 3 days in-office. Your Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years overall information technology experience working
experience and 5+ as a Microsoft 365 Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Computer Science,
Information Systems).
- Understanding of ITIL/ITSM best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work
effectively on multiple priorities with firm delivery dates.
- Effective communication skills within information technology
and business environments.
- Customer and quality focused individual.

- Adaptability and Positive Attitude.
- High Energy/Fast Paced.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Experience with 3rd party managed service providers Preferred
- Microsoft 365 certification
- Certified in ITIL Foundation
- Knowledge of technical infrastructure and end user computing
including networking, Mac and iOS, telecom, broadband, hardware,
