Job Description:
Job Overview: We are currently seeking a Plant Superintendent
for our facility in Charleston, TN. This position will report to
the Area Facilities Manager.The Plant Superintendent will be
responsible for ensuring production requirements are met, and the
facility is operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
The role leads a team of plant operators and technicians at the
facility. This is a front-line operations role that will respond to
unplanned events, work independently, and make technical decisions
and recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation
of the facility. This position requires a combination of office and
field work. Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone)
is required. Key responsibilities:
- Lead plant operators and technicians.
- Compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal
engineering standards.
- Support the Remote Distribution Superintendent for any
assistance they would need.
- Maximize efficiency and operating capacity of the plant.
- Troubleshooting plant process, or equipment problems, and
implementing solutions.
- Manages requirements for energy incentive programs.
- Maintain QA program, facilitate customer and corporate
audits.
- Coordinates major outage and project work with reliability
centers, mechanical integrity team, and capital project teams to
ensure most efficient and cost-effective execution.
- Maintains documentation of equipment and processes.
- Responsible for process safety information related to plant
activities (MOC, HWP).Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum 3 years of industrial
experience. Will consider relevant work experience in leu of
degree.
- Preferred candidate will have at least one year of experience
leading a team in an industrial setting.
- Working knowledge of industrial gas plant processes.
- Experience with installation and troubleshooting of industrial
equipment.
- Working knowledge of Hazardous work permits (HWP) and
Management of Change (MOC).
- Must have excellent communication, team interaction, and
presentation skills.
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently,
effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with
minimal supervision.
- Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to
changing situations, have strong communications skills, and a
strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across
departmental lines.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and
